Simon
Property Group is pleased to
announce more exciting concepts
for its Pier Park development in
Panama City Beach. Baja Grill,
Guy Harvey’s Island Grill, Olive
Garden and Tootsie’s Orchid
Lounge will enhance the already
burgeoning roster of restaurants
at Pier Park. In addition,
Paradise Found will join nearly
40 other retailers that are
already open for business.
Baja Grill’s concept revolves
around fresh, contemporary and
consistently outstanding
Southwestern, Cajun, Caribbean
and American cuisines – a unique
combination along with
outstanding service, fine wines
and tempting desserts all served
in a stylish, high-energy
tropical design atmosphere. The
menu features innovative dishes,
using only the freshest and
highest quality ingredients that
illustrate the culture and
traditions behind the dynamic
menu. The goal is to attain
harmony of taste, texture, color
and aroma with a fine balancing
act. Baja Grill is located in
the Town Center area and is
scheduled to open this summer.
Guy Harvey’s Island Grill,
scheduled to open this fall in
the Boardwalk area, will feature
a restaurant offering indoor and
outdoor dining with a beautiful
sunset view of the Gulf, an
outside boat bar and a retail
store. The décor will consist of
saltwater fish tanks, tabletops
featuring Guy Harvey’s art and
other nautical-themed
accessories. The most noted
pieces include an exclusive
collection of full fish mounts
which will be available for
purchase. Guy Harvey’s Island
Shop includes a selection of
clothing, accessories and gifts
as well as fishing documentaries
featuring Guy Harvey himself.
The menu and atmosphere will be
family friendly yet suitable for
all ages, serving a variety of
American-style foods including
seafood, steaks, pastas and
salads.
The Olive Garden, opening fall
of 2008, will be located on
Panama City Beach Parkway next
to the
Longhorn Steak House. The
restaurant’s Italian inspiration
includes a rustic stone
exterior, typical of the
buildings in the Italian
countryside, and an interior
accented by Italian imports.
Exposed wood beams, stone and
wood accents, and terra cotta
tile highlight the interior. The
bar top is crafted from lava
stone, then hand-painted by
artisans in Italy with design
created exclusively for Olive
Garden; vibrant imported fabrics
decorate windows and dining
seats; hand-painted plates adorn
rustic stone and stucco walls;
and the lighting fixtures are
all distinctly Italian.
Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, a Nashville landmark and honky-tonk mecca that
has launched the careers of
numerous country music stars, is
scheduled to open this spring in
the Boardwalk shops. In the
’60s, owner “Tootsie” Bess had a
soft spot for struggling writers
and nurtured the stomachs–and
bar tabs–of greats like Roger
Miller, Kris Kristofferson and
Willie Nelson. Today, the purple
facade anchors Nashville’s Lower
Broadway’s colorful past, and
the interior walls are crowded
with publicity stills of the
greats, the hopefuls and
never-wills who came to town
chasing dreams. Ultimately, the
Pier Park location will earn a
similar reputation with exciting
musical guests.
Paradise Found, an upscale beach
wear and resort wear shop, will
open this spring in a 6,000
square foot store in the
Boardwalk area. Shoppers will
find a wide selection of bathing
suits, shorts, t-shirts, boogie
boards and souvenirs. This will
be the first Paradise Found
store in NW Florida with other
locations in Key West and Miami
Beach.
Margaritaville , Diners to
the new Margaritaville will be
able to sit outside at the
restaurant’s Front Beach
location and delight in a
spectacular view of the Gulf’s
blue waters and sugar-white
beaches.
